If you would like your future to be more productive, satisfying, healthy, and wholesome than your past, then congratulations! Entering therapy is an excellent investment to achieve your goal. Our past affects us, but it doesn't have to control us.
No matter our age or stage in life, through therapy, we can consider what brought us to this point - our past glories and failures, resources and hindrances. Through therapy we can decide to keep what is useful, nurturing and helpful and what we want to develop, and consider what negative thought patterns, behaviours and attitudes we might want to leave behind. The joy of being a human is that we can change and grow!
Whatever background you have come from, whatever you have experienced, it doesn't have to define you. By learning who you are and discovering how to grow in your journey to become your best self, you will enjoy life more.
I aim to support you to gain the skills to be your own best friend, live your life to the full and act with integrity, agency, autonomy, and congruency, in mind, body and spirit.
No matter what your start, you can finish strong.
It is my hope for you that you grow to be 'comfortable in your skin' and be able to say, "I am free to be me."
